The market did not break this week.

That is the good news.

The warning is what sits underneath it.

Meridia’s latest market context still frames the public regime as Recovery. Growth remains stable. Liquidity is improving. Risk flags are not elevated. U.S. index leadership remains the cleanest source of strength.

But this is not a clean risk-on tape.

Cross-asset signals remain cautious. Sentiment has cooled. Inflation is still a constraint. Several growth-oriented themes are not confirming the Recovery backdrop with enough breadth.

So the message is not bearish.

It is more uncomfortable than that:

Recovery held, but the market still has to prove it.

The Headline: Recovery Is Still Intact

Meridia’s current public reading remains Recovery.

That matters. The market is not being read as a stress regime. The broader setup still has enough support from stable growth, improving liquidity, and U.S. index leadership to keep the constructive backdrop alive.

But a regime label can hide important details.

Recovery tells us the market has not broken. It does not tell us that every layer is confirming. And right now, the confirmation layer is still uneven.

A stronger Recovery setup would usually come with broader theme participation, stronger sentiment, and cross-asset signals that clearly support risk appetite.

That is not what this reading shows.

This reading says the market held together.

It does not say the market has earned a full green light.

What Is Holding the Market Together

The strongest support still comes from US Index Core.

That theme remains constructive and improving, which keeps the Recovery framework intact. When broad U.S. index exposure is leading, the market can still hold a constructive posture even if the underlying theme map is mixed.

Defensive Healthcare also remains neutral but improving. That adds some stability to the tape, though it is not the same thing as aggressive risk appetite.

Together, those areas help explain why Recovery is still the right public regime label.

But they also show why the setup is selective.

This is not a market where everything is working. It is a market where enough is working to keep the Recovery reading alive.

That distinction matters.

The Weakness Is Breadth

The main problem is not the regime.

The main problem is confirmation.

Cloud and Cybersecurity remains neutral but under pressure. AI Semiconductors is also neutral and under pressure. Mega-Cap Platforms are neutral and stable, but not yet carrying the broader confirmation layer.

That mix is not a collapse.

But it is not broad leadership either.

The market is still relying heavily on the strongest index basket while several important growth themes remain hesitant. That makes the current setup constructive, but vulnerable to narrowing.

If leadership broadens next week, the Recovery case gets stronger.

If leadership narrows again, the market will need more help from liquidity, sentiment, and macro stability to keep the current regime looking durable.

The Warning Is in Cross-Asset Signals

The cross-asset layer is where the warning sits.

Gold-related ratios, oil relative to gold, and dollar-versus-gold context continue to argue for caution. The composite ratio score still leans risk-off, even while the public regime remains Recovery.

That tension is the story.

The market can remain in Recovery while cross-asset signals stay defensive. But the more those signals persist, the less comfortable the Recovery reading becomes.

This is not enough to call the market bearish.

It is enough to avoid calling it clean.

Sentiment Is Not Helping Yet

Sentiment is another confirmation layer, and it is not giving a strong green light.

A cooler sentiment backdrop does not automatically break Recovery. Fear can sometimes create room for stabilization if growth and liquidity remain supportive.

But sentiment still matters.

When sentiment is weak and leadership is selective, the market has to prove itself through follow-through. It needs broader participation. It needs less pressure in growth leadership. It needs cross-asset caution to fade rather than deepen.

Until that happens, the Recovery reading remains valid, but conditional.

Evidence Is Building, Not Proven

Meridia’s evidence layer continues to improve, but it is still developing.

That distinction matters.

The early evidence base is useful for context. Longer-horizon evidence is building. But this is not yet a commercial proof claim, and it should not be presented as one.

The value of the process is repetition.

Each week, the same questions matter:

Did the regime hold?
Did leadership confirm it?
Did risk signals fade or persist?
Did follow-through improve?

This week, the answer is mixed.

Recovery held.
US Index Core remained constructive.
Evidence continued to build.
But confirmation stayed selective.

What To Watch Next Week

Next week’s test is simple: breadth.

If US Index Core remains constructive and leadership broadens into more themes, the Recovery backdrop gets stronger. If Cloud and Cybersecurity stabilizes, and if AI Semiconductors begins to recover from pressure, the market would have a cleaner confirmation layer.

The caution case grows if leadership narrows again, sentiment stays weak, liquidity support fades, or cross-asset risk signals remain defensive.

Inflation also remains important. Even when growth is stable and liquidity is improving, inflation can limit policy flexibility and keep valuation pressure relevant.

For now, the market’s message is clear:

It did not break.
It is not fully confirmed.
The warning is under the surface.

That is not a bearish conclusion.

It is a disciplined one.
